About the artwork:

“Catching Flies” explores the tension between passivity and

pursuit. The image of a bat hanging among Venus flytraps

presents a deliberate contradiction, unlike the plants, which

lure insects toward them, the bat is a hunter by nature. By

waiting rather than acting, it becomes a symbol of missed

opportunity. The piece reflects the idea that growth and

success come not from remaining still, but from taking

initiative—spreading your wings and seeking out the

opportunities that allow you to thrive.
